About Loom Tree

Loom Tree is an artisanal lifestyle brand for forward thinking shoppers who yearn to have their ethical values reflected in their homes and wardrobes. We design effortless bohemian-luxe womenswear using organic cotton, handloom wool, Ashima silk (Peace silk) and upcycled fabrics. Our additional range of lifestyle separates include vintage-inspired nightwear, childrenswear, homewares and accessories. Basically everything a woman could want.

Grounded in traditional Indian textiles, we celebrate in global artisan craft. We believe the contemporary fashion industry has lost its connection to the producers at the bottom of the supply chain so unlike other fashion brands we don’t hide our suppliers away. We acknowledge them so that each and every product we sell has an instant story to share with the world.

Loom Tree’s main objective is to offer exclusive fashion whilst improving the lives and communities of the artisans, craftsmen, weavers and farmers in developing countries who hold the traditional skills needed to make beautiful, authentic and timeless things. Our USP is in the design details. We use handloom woven wools and traditional embroidered embellishments. This embroidery includes the ancient Indian Kashida art form along with the vibrancy of Kutch embroidery, using colourful threads and beads.

At Loom Tree we strive to limit our impact on the environment and therefore promote organic cotton farming as a sustainable alternative to conventional cotton growing. All of our organic cotton is certified in India by Control Union (an international Dutch based organic certification body). In addition we use textile dyes that have a limited impact on the natural world, including organic, whilst working alongside our suppliers as they adapt to more environmentally-friendly processing standards. Peace silk and upcycled materials add to the range of sustainable fabrics we use to create our collection. At Loom Tree you count on us for ethically crafted clothing and accessories. Say hello to forward-thinking fashion.

We follow fair labour standards across the supply chain and actively look to partner with artisan textile groups that support innovative community development. We believe people can help themselves to prosper through trade. Many of our products use FAIRTRADE certified cotton ensuring farmers receive the FAIRTRADE cotton premium. Whilst not all of the cotton used in our collection is currently FAIRTRADE, we are developing new organic fair trade cotton projects in Bangladesh, so that so that in the future all of our handwoven cotton can indeed carry the fair trade standard.
